The Halliday Way – January 2021 Update

Friends,

Year six has now commenced, it is absolutely incredible to look back and see how far we have come in such a short period of time. The team would like to thank you all for the continued support you give us, from listing your homes with us to simply liking our social media posts. Everything that you do has helped us grow to where we are today.

January didn’t quite have the rush that we expected however it is on the horizon. We are seeing valuations being booked now that this lockdown is coming to an end. We certainly aren’t short of buyers with some already sold and others are in rented accommodation, this means chains will be short and the process will be smooth.

ESCAPING FROM THE CITY

As COVID-19 keeps looming overhead a lot of city workers have been working from home since March 2020. Many employers have realised that people can work from home quite easily, therefore, they do not need the big expensive city office anymore.

Within the property sector, we have noticed a huge surge of people moving out of the city and into smaller towns. We expect this to keep happening into 2021 as more and more employers shut offices permanently.
